Trivium Daily asks for no personal information, has no account or sign-up, and runs no analytics. Everything you do in the app — your streak, level, XP, unlocked categories and settings — is saved only on your own device, and we have no server that could store anything about you.
The one exception is advertising. The app shows optional Google AdMob video ads that you choose to watch in exchange for energy, and Google processes limited device data to deliver them. That is described in full under Advertising below. We never receive that data ourselves.
The app saves a small amount of data using your device's local storage. This never leaves your phone and is not readable by us or by anyone else:
Uninstalling the app deletes all of it permanently. There is no backup on our side and nothing to restore, so a reinstall starts fresh.
The app makes network requests to exactly three places. We operate none of them, and we receive no personal data back from any of them.
Text trivia questions and the category list are fetched from the Open Trivia Database, a free public API. These requests ask only for a number of questions and an optional category or difficulty. No information about you is included.
As with any internet request, their server necessarily sees your device's IP address and standard connection details in order to reply. That data is handled under their policies, not ours. Picture rounds, riddles and the Kids Learning Zone are bundled into the app and need no network access at all.
If you buy a subscription, the entire transaction is handled by Google Play. The app never sees or handles your name, email, or payment details — it only receives back whether a subscription is currently active. Google's handling of that purchase is governed by the Google Play Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.
Only when you choose to watch a rewarded ad. What Google receives, and how the requests are restricted because of the Kids Learning Zone, is set out under Advertising below.
The app is built with the Expo and React Native frameworks and includes these Google components. We list them because they ship inside the app even though we do not use them to gather anything about you:
The app contains no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK of any kind.
When you run out of energy you may choose to watch a short video ad to earn one energy point. Ads are never forced. Energy also refills on its own for free, and you can close the energy dialog and keep using every other part of the app without watching anything.
These ads are delivered by Google AdMob. To show an ad and to prevent fraud, Google receives technical information from your device such as your IP address, device type and operating system, an advertising identifier, and whether the ad was viewed or completed. This is collected and controlled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy, not by us. We receive no personal data from Google — the app is told only that a reward was earned.
Because the app includes a Kids Learning Zone, ad requests are configured restrictively: ads are limited to the most conservative content rating, requests are flagged as child-directed and as being for users under the age of consent, and personalised (interest-based) advertising is switched off. Ads never appear anywhere inside the Kids Learning Zone.
You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings under Google › Ads.
The app can show two reminders: a daily nudge to play, and a note when your energy has refilled. Both are scheduled locally by your own device and contain no data from anywhere else.
Permission is requested once. If you decline, notifications are simply skipped and every other feature continues to work normally. You can change your mind at any time in your device's app settings.
The app includes a Kids Learning Zone with questions written for ages 4–12. This section deliberately sits outside the rest of the app's systems: no energy cost, no advertising, and no subscription prompts. No ad is ever shown within it.
Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either. We do not knowingly collect personal information from any user regardless of age. There is no profile, no messaging, no user-generated content, and no way for one user to contact another.
| Internet | Fetching daily trivia questions and processing subscriptions. |
|---|---|
| Notifications | Showing the two local reminders described above. Optional. |
| Vibrate | Haptic feedback on answers. |
| Run at startup | Re-scheduling your local reminders after the device restarts, so they are not lost. |
| Billing | Offering and restoring Google Play subscriptions. |
Some additional permissions may appear in the app's technical listing because they are declared by the frameworks the app is built on rather than requested by the app itself. The app does not use them to access your files or display over other apps.
Because we hold no data about you on any server, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on request — the controls above are complete in themselves.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
